We test and assess first, match the chemistry to the type of algae actually growing, then take the dead bloom out of the water with equipment built for that, rather than sending it back through your filter. It happens in your own backyard, with the owner, not in a classroom: you test the water yourself while someone explains what each reading means, and you walk your own equipment pad asking the follow-up questions a video cannot take. Why one routine does not fit the year
A pool in North Texas is not a summer appliance. Most of them here stay open and circulating straight through the winter instead of being shut down for the cold months, so the pump, the filter, and the plumbing are working every month of the year. Nothing about that is a problem on its own. It just means there is no natural pause where the system catches up, and no point in the calendar where neglect gets undone for you.
Then summer arrives and stays for months, with the sun on the water the entire time. Everything speeds up: what the water demands, what the filter collects, how fast a small drift becomes a visible one. The habits that carried a pool from January to April are not the habits it needs in July, and most owners were never handed a version of the routine that changes with the season. Yes. Most of the city sits in Collin County and the western edge crosses into Denton County, and the loop we cover runs across both. County lines do not change anything about the work, the process, or the way a job is quoted. If your house is in Frisco, it is in the service area.
What should I have ready before a Pool School visit?
Whatever test kit you already own, if you own one, and the last few things you added to the water. Beyond that, nothing. Do not clean up the equipment pad or scrub anything first. The session is more useful when the pool is in its normal state, problems included.
We just moved into a place with a pool nobody has explained. Where do we start?
Usually Pool School, then decide. A session tells you what shape the filter is actually in and whether it needs a teardown now or in the fall. Booking a clean first is not wrong, it just means paying for the work before you know why it was needed. Either way you get a flat quote first.
